Our Story

Serving Foley and Surrounding Communities since 1993, our mission at Dykes Veterinary Clinic is to help your pets live happier, healthier lives by providing exceptional quality medical and surgical care in a compassionate environment. 

What began as a vision for modern, state-of-the-art veterinary care has grown into a full-service veterinary hospital and boarding facility serving Foley and surrounding areas. 

Throughout our growth, we’ve remained committed to ensuring pets and their families receive individual attention and customized treatment plans in a comfortable, caring environment.

Dr. David Dykes

Veterinarian

Dr. David Dykes grew up in Birmingham, Alabama. He decided in eighth grade, after listening to a veterinarian during career day, that he would enjoy being a veterinarian. He never wavered from his course and he graduated from Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine.

After graduation, he practiced veterinary medicine in Tuscaloosa, Alabama for approximately a year and a half. At that time he moved to Foley, Alabama and has been practicing veterinary medicine in this are for over three decades. Dr. Dykes has a special interest in orthopedic surgery and ophthalmology. His compassion and care for his patients is evident.

Away from work he enjoys spending time with his wife, their son, daughter-in-law, granddaughter and two grandsons. Together he and his wife share their lives with three dogs, three cats, six birds and one horse. Dr. Dykes also enjoys fishing, gardening, bicycling, kayaking, paddle boarding and being outdoors.

Dr. Casey Busby

Veterinarian

Growing up, Dr. Busby knew she wanted to call Alabama’s Gulf Coast “home.” Dr. Busby graduated with the class of 2024 from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. Before attending veterinary school, she received her bachelor’s degree in microbiology from Mississippi State University.


With a fresh perspective and a strong foundation in the latest veterinary techniques, Dr. Busby is dedicated to providing compassionate and comprehensive care to animals of all kinds. Dr. Busby looks forward to building lasting relationships with pet owners and making a positive impact on the lives of their companions.


In Dr. Busby’s free time, she enjoys gardening, pottery, traveling, and spending time with her doggos, Kate and Jax.

Dr. Gracie Sims

Veterinarian

Dr. Gracie Sims grew up in Foley, AL and returned home after graduating from Auburn University with her undergraduate degree in poultry science and her doctorate in veterinary medicine.

Dr. Sims enjoys all aspects of small animal care but has a special interest in dentistry. She lives with her Border Collie mix, Claire, and enjoys reading, crafting, and spending time with her family (especially her two nephews) in her free time.

Dr. Nicole Nobles

Veterinarian

Dr. Nicole Nobles received her bachelor’s degree in microbiology from Auburn University and her master’s in veterinary biomedical sciences and doctorate in veterinary medicine from Lincoln Memorial University. She loves building strong relationships with her clients and has a passion for surgery.

Dr. Nobles grew up in Daphne, AL and always looked forward to coming back to the area to serve the community that fostered her love of pets and veterinary medicine. She has one dog, Sully (after Monsters Inc), but is planning to add to the pack soon. In her free time, she enjoys playing with Sully, reading, and going to the beach.

Dr. Rachel McDaniel

Veterinarian

Dr. Rachel McDaniel was born and raised in Brookhaven, Mississippi, where she was actively involved in local 4-H, showing market goats, lambs, hogs, and poultry. She earned both her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees from Mississippi State University, where she was a member of the Collegiate Horse Judging Team and the Collegiate Cattlemen’s Association.

After graduation, Dr. McDaniel worked in a mixed animal practice in South Texas, gaining valuable experience caring for a wide variety of species. She is excited to now call Foley home and looks forward to bringing her knowledge and skills to the community.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. McDaniel enjoys hiking with her dogs, Brody and Birdie, as well as spending time with family and friends, cooking, and enjoying the outdoors.

Dr. Bradley Stinson

Veterinarian

Dr. Bradley Stinson is originally from Greenville, Alabama, where he was raised on a small farm and developed his passion for working with animals. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Auburn University before completing his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Tuskegee University.

Since graduation, Dr. Stinson has practiced small animal medicine along the Alabama coast. He has a special interest in surgery and values building strong relationships with clients to ensure their pets receive thoughtful, personalized care.

Dr. Stinson is married to his wife, Emily, and they have a daughter named Isla.

Dr. Elizabeth Taylor

Veterinarian

Dr. Elizabeth Taylor earned both her undergraduate degree in microbiology and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University. Her veterinary experience includes large animal ambulatory medicine and surgery, stockyard veterinary medicine, mixed animal practice, and small animal care.

Dr. Taylor is passionate about serving both her clients and the broader community. She has had the opportunity to use her veterinary skills through Christian Veterinary Mission while serving on the Navajo Nation in Arizona and looks forward to participating in future mission work.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Taylor enjoys spending time with her family, riding horses, reading, and being outdoors. She lives on a small farm where she cares for beef cattle, miniature horses, a goat named Jolly, four dogs, and her beloved buckskin mare, Jo-Dee.
